ALL3MEDIA strengthens Digital and Advertising offering with Illumina Digital Acquisition and Kameleon partnership

Embargoed until 0700hrs, Wednesday, September 17, 2008

London, September 17, 2008
Introduction
ALL3MEDIA, Britain's largest Independent television production group, announces the acquisition of Illumina Digital and a strategic partnership with new brand agency Kameleon, which launches today, strengthening further ALL3MEDIA's digital and advertising skills.

Strategic Rationale
As the Internet continues to grow as a video-rich entertainment platform, with audiences spending increasing amounts of their media time online and online advertising revenues growing, so the commissioning of digital content is growing rapidly both at broadcasters and social networks such as Bebo and myspace. The online advertising market is expected to reach £3.56bn this year, overtaking the television advertising market for the first time.

By joining up with Illumina Digital and Kameleon, ALL3MEDIA can successfully increase its digital content production and advertiser-facing skills to maintain its position as the leading UK content company in a rapidly evolving media landscape. ALL3MEDIA companies are responsible for four of the top five shows viewed on Channel 4's 4od - Hollyoaks, Peep Show, Skins and Shameless.

Steve Morrison, Chief Executive of ALL3MEDIA said: "Broadband is rapidly evolving from information into entertainment drawing billions of advertising pounds to its various platforms.

On top of our strong record in digital content and advertiser funded programmes, we now feel it is right to respond to these market developments by adding two specialist companies to the All3MEDIA Group.

Illumina Digital and Kameleon strengthen further our leading position with broadcasters and new media platforms, and also with advertisers seeking to fund content more directly in the future."

Illumina Digital
Multiple BAFTA award winner Illumina Digital, the UK's leading multiplatform production company, was founded 10 years ago. The company has led the way in creating large scale interactive and multiplatform experiences for broadcasters, brands and public institutions across the UK. The company has worked on a wide variety of cross-media projects, including for the BBC, Channel 4, Sky, Royal National Theatre and Government departments. Illumina Digital is led by Managing Director Andrew Chitty.

Illumina Digital's successes range from celebrity chef driven Get Cooking for the BBC, to the user generated Empire's Children with Channel 4, as well as online teen comedy Wannabes and online entertainment channel Quizmania.

Kameleon
By partnering with new firm Kameleon, which launches today, ALL3MEDIA is well placed to extend its relationships with the advertising community.

Prior to launching Kameleon, the management team of Richard Armstrong, Anthony Edwards and Mark Webster as the Heads of Strategy, Content and Sponsorship respectively at Mindshare, part of the WPP Group, have a wealth of experience developing, managing and distributing content rich ideas for brands.

There are two distinct parts to the Kameleon business. One focuses on helping content creators and rights owners exploit their rights through partnerships with advertisers. The other part advises brand owners on branded content, sponsorship models and new marketing solutions.
