North One Television has grown into one of Europe’s biggest and most respected production companies and boasts a wide variety of programming across sport, factual and general entertainment.
North One has built its reputation on innovative and high-end live sport productions such as Italian Football and NBA on Channel 4 and ITV; Rugby Special and Six Nations on the BBC and UKTV; Formula One on ITV and World Rally Championships as a global host broadcaster, but also for Channel 4, ITV, and now Dave.
Indeed, it’s through motorsport, from Britain’s very first advertiser funded production with Indycar and Nigel Mansell in the early 90s, through FIM Speedway Grand Prix, Formula One and World Rally Championships (WRC) that North One has earned its reputation as a cutting edge and creative innovator.
The company started out into 1990 as Chrysalis Sport - the sports television arm of the music group Chrysalis - before spreading into new programming genres through the mid nineties. It absorbed some of the other Chrysalis programming genres in 1994 and subsequently became Chrysalis Television.
The company expanded successfully into factual entertainment and launched the hugely popular Top Ten series that ran for many years on Saturday nights on Channel 4 and enabled it to break into the entertainment world. At the same time North One established a successful factual wing with a raft of successful series and cutting edge documentaries
Today one of the great assets of North One is its ability to combine its talents in both sport and entertainment to maximise the entertainment potential of the events we cover but also ensuring we get the very best of the action and excitement from the sports-entertainment concepts we create.
