Midsomer Murders, starring John Nettles, is one of the top rated drama series on UK television, and has been sold to over 205 territories from the U.S. to China. With an average audience share in the UK in excess of 40%, the series was described by the Independent as "a jewel in ITV's crown". Filmed on location in and around villages in the Chilterns and the Home Counties, Midsomer Murders has proved an English classic.
Bentley celebrated the filming of the 50th episode of Midsomer Murders in 2005
, and look forward to a tenth series of a further 8 two hour films, taking production into 2006.
Bentley followed the success of Midsomer Murders with an action
thriller for ITV1, Ultimate Force. Ross Kemp stars as Sergeant Henno Garvie in
a series following the exploits of a crack SAS troop.
The success of series 3 in 2004, particularly amongst the core demographic of
18-34 males, led to the commissioning of a further series. Ultimate Force has
also enjoyed huge success overseas and is one of the top ten British exports,
sold to over 140 territories. Episode 4 for series 4 of Ultimate Force has now
been completed.
Bentley Productions will produce 24 hours of television in 2005 and continue to develop exciting series ideas for prime-time drama, with both established writers and new talent.
