Leading independent television, film and digital production and distribution company All3Media has announced the creation of a new production company, Angelica Films.
Award-winning producer Sally Angel heads up the label, which is focused on producing premium factual, specialist factual and documentaries for UK and international broadcasters and platforms.

Sally was previously at Field Day Productions, where she produced the BBC Two and international box office hit Tea With The Dames, directed by Roger Michell; the critically-acclaimed Channel 4 observational documentary Inside The American Embassy, distributed by All3Media International; and the BAFTA award-winning short-form programme Missed Call – a co-production with All3Media’s Little Dot Studios in collaboration with Royal Holloway University’s Media Arts Department.

Jane Turton, CEO of All3Media said: “We are delighted to be setting up this new label within All3Media and really excited to have Sally bring her award-winning creativity and talent to head it up. She has a great slate of ideas and developments that are designed to meet the growing demand for high-end factual and specialist factual content from UK and international broadcasters and platforms.”

Sally Angel, MD and Creative Director of Angelica Films added: “The Angelica team is thrilled to have found a home at All3 and excited about bringing our creative storytelling to the table and working with All3 and the best talent in TV to offer something new to the market. Although it’s early days for Angelica, we are delighted to already have two projects in paid development.”

All3Media’s growing international network of 30 award-winning independent production, distribution and digital media companies produces content for broadcasters and digital platforms globally. Recent productions span scripted, factual, entertainment, children’s, sports and digital content and include Fleabag, Gogglebox, Call The Midwife, The Circle, Race Across the World, Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back, Hollyoaks, Drowning in Plastic, Free Rein and Three Identical Strangers.

The creation of Angelica Films follows recent deals including a multi-year partnership with Relevé Entertainment and the launch of an original content development fund partnership with Cinetic Media.
